John grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. (Say that 5-times fast) After flopping around a pool for 1 lap he got roped into swimming most of his childhood. He would later complete the swim to Alcatraz a number of times as well as a relay around the English channel.
John received his BBA Finance at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. While in school, he supported himself by being an original cable tv installer (not Larry the Cable Guy). Although his favorite job he’s ever had was delivering happiness (beer) to several bars in his area.
After college he worked in bond sales, selling all different types of fixed income securities including: municipal bonds, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed bonds, federal agency backed bonds and US treasury bonds to banks, insurance companies, and bond funds. After 4 separate mergers of firms, he decided to switch up and work on securing equipment financing directly for companies.
John specializes in manufacturing and construction equipment, vocational trucking, and structured FF&E transactions. There is no stone unturned when you bring your transaction to John. He is one of the most thorough originators making life easy for our underwriting and docs team.
Today he stays out of trouble by visiting all the Utah state parks with his half-human goldendoodle.
