As an authority in commercial equipment finance, Buddy Zarbock aligns strategic capital structures with corporate objectives—helping American businesses deploy, automate, and scale operations while preserving vital working capital.

Buddy Zarbock is a nationally recognized leader in commercial equipment finance, capital markets, and business growth strategy. As Founder and CEO of Commercial Funding Partners (CFP), he has spent more than a decade helping companies secure the capital necessary to expand operations, acquire critical equipment, execute strategic growth initiatives, and strengthen their competitive position in the marketplace.
Buddy began his professional career with IBM after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Communications from the University of Utah and an MBA from Westminster College. During his tenure at IBM, he received advanced training in business systems, strategic planning, sales leadership, and organizational development, building the foundation for a career focused on helping businesses grow and prosper.
Leveraging the skills and experience gained at IBM, Buddy became manager and owner of Plumbers Supply Company, where he played a pivotal role in transforming the organization into one of the largest wholesale distribution companies in the Western United States. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth, ultimately resulting in its acquisition by Wolseley plc, one of the world's largest wholesale distribution organizations. Following the acquisition, Buddy worked closely with Wolseley leadership to expand branch operations, launch new product divisions, and penetrate emerging markets throughout the region.
In 2012, Buddy founded Commercial Funding Partners with a vision of creating a more responsive, relationship-driven approach to commercial finance. Since then, CFP has evolved into a nationally recognized equipment finance and structured capital provider, arranging and funding transactions ranging from traditional equipment acquisitions to complex multi-million-dollar growth projects across manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, construction, energy, technology, agriculture, and infrastructure sectors.
Throughout his career, Buddy has become a passionate advocate for equipment finance as a strategic business tool rather than simply a funding mechanism. He has championed the role of equipment finance in driving economic development, supporting American manufacturing, enabling technological innovation, and helping companies preserve working capital while accelerating growth. His philosophy centers on aligning capital solutions with business objectives, allowing organizations to invest in productivity, automation, expansion, and modernization without constraining liquidity.
Under Buddy's leadership, CFP has built an extensive network of lenders, banks, family offices, private credit providers, equipment vendors, brokers, and business advisors. He is widely respected for fostering collaborative relationships throughout the equipment finance ecosystem and for creating opportunities that benefit borrowers, capital providers, and equipment suppliers alike. His commitment to long-term partnerships has resulted in a substantial percentage of CFP's business originating from repeat customers, referrals, and strategic industry relationships.
Buddy is also recognized as a champion for entrepreneurs and middle-market companies, frequently advising business owners, executives, and investors on capital structure, equipment acquisition strategies, vendor finance programs, and growth financing initiatives. His ability to bridge the gap between capital markets and operating businesses has made him a trusted resource for companies seeking practical solutions to complex financial challenges.
Today, Buddy continues to lead CFP's strategic vision, promote innovation within the equipment finance industry, and advocate for greater access to growth capital for businesses across North America. He is an active contributor to industry standards with his association with the Equipment Leasing & Finance Association (ELFA), the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA), and the American Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (AACFB.)
